DIY: HOW TO MAKE CAT PRINT TIGHTS

I have been seeing a lot of nude tights recently that have tattoo-like outlines on them. I think they look great but they are always so overpriced in shops! I usually don't mind paying a bit more for a really nice item but tights tear so easily and I can't justify spending a lot of money on them. Making them yourself is not only a whole lot cheaper but enables you to create your own designs. They also look great and are easy to replace if ripped.


What you will need:
- Paper and pencil
- Pair of nude colour tights
- Wide drinking glass (or any cylinder shaped item that the tights can be stretched across)
- Permanent marker pen



Step 1:
Create a design on paper. I have included a template of the design I drew above if you would like to use it.



Step 2:
If you want the design to be in a particular place wear the tights and mark a dot where you want the centre of the design to be. Next stretch the tights over a cylinder shaped object. I chose a large tumbler glass as its the perfect size and the marker pen won't stain the glass. 



Step 3:
Cut out the template and place it in between the glass and the tights. Line it up with the dot if you made one.



Step 4:
Draw over the template with a permanent marker. Be careful not to pull the fabric as you're drawling. I went over the lines by dotting the pen.



Step 5:
Do the same thing on any other areas on the tights that you wish to draw on.



And you're done!
